Getting Started with the H2O HD

Use the handy set up guide below to get started with your H2O HD.

Assembling the Main Unit

Assembly Step 1

Attach the H2O™ HD Mop Head, then insert and tighten the provided screw into the hole on the back (screwdriver not provided).

Assembly Step 2

Pull handle upwards to an upright and locked position.

Assembly Step 3

Insert the Power Supply Cord into the Cord Lock Slot located on the handle.

Assembly Step 4

Attach the Microfiber Cloth by placing the cloth under the Mop Head. Align fastening strips of the cloth with the gripping strips on the bottom of the Mop Head. Press to fit together.

Assembly Step 5

When using the H2O™ HD Steam Cleaner on carpeting or rugs: Place the Mop Head, with Microfiber Cloth in place, on top of the Carpet Glider as illustrated in Fig. 5. Do not attempt to use the H2O™ HD Steam Cleaner on carpeting or rugs without the Carpet Glider in place. Never use the Carpet Glider on surfaces that are prone to scratching.

How to fill the water tank

Step 1

Ensure the H2O™ HD Steam Cleaner is unplugged. Remove the Water Tank by pressing the Water Tank Release Button and pulling the Water Tank from both sides (Fig. 1.).

Step 2

Turn the Water Tank Cap from the bottom of the Water Tank to “OPEN” and remove the Water Tank Cap (Fig. 2).

Step 3

Fill the Water Tank to the indicated tank capacity (450ml/15.2oz) (Fig. 3).

Step 4

Replace the Water Tank Cap and turn to “CLOSE” position. Make sure the Copper Cone inside the Water Tank is always submerged in water while operating the unit. Never put cleaning detergents into the Water Tank. Unless approved by the manufacturer, do not put any scented products in the Water Tank. The H2O™ HD Steam Cleaner uses tap water, but in areas with hard water use distilled water for better performance.

Turning the H2O HD On & Off

Turning ON Step 1

Plug the Power Cord into an electrical outlet. The Red Power Indicator light will come on, indicating power is on. At the same time the Blue Water Tank Light will come on.

Turning ON Step 2

Wait for approximately 15 to 25 seconds for the Steam Power Level Indicator lights to flash, indicating that the unit is ready to use.

Turning ON Step 3

Press the Steam Switch to begin emitting steam.

Turning ON Step 4

Press the Steam Setting Button to your desired power level; for Low Steam, press the button once, two times forMedium Steam and three times for High Steam. Pressing the button again will bring you back to the Low Steam setting.

Turning ON Step 5

To stop emitting steam, press and hold the Steam Switch for approximately 5 to 6 seconds. While holding the Steam Switch the Steam Power Level Indicator lights will flash. Steam will not stop emitting until the flashing stops and a beep noise is heard indicating it has been stopped.

Turning ON Step 6

The unit is still on, and another press of the Steam Switch will start the emission of steam.

Turning OFF

To shut the power off to the unit, follow the instructions to turn the steam off (see above), and then unplug the Power Cord from the Electrical Outlet.When trying to stop Steam Emission, failure to hold the button long enough to stop flashing lights and hear the beep, will cause the unit will to continue steaming at the last steam setting.

Assembling the Handheld Unit

Step 1

Remove the Power Supply Cord from the Cord Lock Slot.

Step 2

Detach the Hand-Held Steamer by pressing the Hand-Held Release Button and pulling out the Hand-Held Steamer unit (Fig. 1).

FAQs

What flooring can the H2O HD be used on?

The H2O HD is designed to thoroughly clean floor surfaces, such as marble, ceramic, carpet, stone, linoleum, and sealed hardwood and parquet flooring. Not all floor types are suitable for steam cleaning. Always check your floor manufacturer’s cleaning instructions before using this product.

How long is the warranty on the H2O HD?

The standard warranty on the H2O HD is one year.

What type of water do I use?

The H2O HD uses tap water. However, in areas with hard water, distilled water should be used for better performance, accompanied by our H2O water softener.

Can I use detergent in my H2O HD?

No. We only recommend using cold water and our specially formulated H2O scents in the H2O HD.

What are the three different steam settings of the H2O HD for?

• Low Steam – Blue Indicator Light – Ideal for sensitive surfaces such as Garments, Mattresses & Pillows, Upholstery, Sealed Hardwood/Laminate (may also use Medium Steam setting)

• Medium Steam – Green Indicator Light – Ideal for light cleaning of Plastic, Granite & Marble, Tile, Slate and Windows & Mirrors

• High Steam – Red Indicator Light – Ideal for tougher stains on Stainless Steel, Porcelain Fixtures and Carpets & Door Mats

How do I attach the window cleaning cloth to the window cleaning tool?

Please click hereto see how to attach the window cleaning cloth.  Alternatively see instructions below:

1. Hook the straight side of the cloth that does not have the toggle, over the three black protrusions under the rubber squeegee.

2. Place the tool cloth-down on to a table so as to hold the cloth in place.

3. Hook the sides of the cloth over the hook shaped indents at the side of the cloth. 4. Still holding the cloth in place against the table, pull the toggle until it cannot go any tighter.

Do I need to empty my H2O HD water tank after every use?

Yes.

How do I wash the H2O HD microfiber cloths?

Microfiber cloth care:

• Machine wash 60 ºC (140 ºF)

• Do not bleach

• Do not use softener

• Do not use tumble dryer

How do I replace the water filter?

To replace the water filter please follow these steps:

• Remove the water tank by pressing the water tank release button and pulling the Water Tank from both sides

• Grab and lift the water filter from the Handheld Steamer and discard

• Insert the new water filter.

• Replace the water tank

How often do I need to change the filter in my H2O HD?

We recommend changing the filter after every 3 – 4 months of use.

Do I still need to descale my H2O HD even though it has filters?

Yes. To ensure optimum performance we recommend descaling your H2O HD every 2-3 months.

How do I descale my H2O HD?

We recommend using the specially formulated and ready to use H2O™ Descaler and follow the below instructions:

1. Add ½ bottle (125ml) of the H2O Descaler to your water tank.

2. Fill the remainder of the tank to the MAX indicator with tap or distilled water.

3. Secure and position the unit to ensure steam released is aimed away from the floor or surrounding objects and surfaces.

4. Plug the unit in, turn the unit ON by pressing the Power Switch ( O / I ) and allow the unit to produce steam until the descaler or vinegar/water solution is used up.

5. Repeat the above procedure as many times as necessary until a normal steam flow rate is achieved.

6. Fill the Water Tank with fresh water, switch the unit ON and release the steam through the system until the Water Tank is empty.

How much does it weigh?

The H2O HD weighs 2.92kg.

Is it only available in the green colour?

Yes, the H2O HD currently only comes in the Black & Avocado colour option.

How long is the power lead?

The power lead is 6m long.

What is the capacity of the water tank?

The capacity of the water tank is 450ml.

How do I know if my flooring is sealed?

If you are unsure whether your floor is suitable for steam cleaning please check your floor manufacturer’s cleaning instructions before using this product.

Can I use it as a handheld steamer?

Yes, the H2O HD can be converted into a handheld steamer by pressing the small button above the handheld unit.
